Are you interested in Forestry, Fish & Game, Natural Resources, Farming and Agriculture, Plant and Animal Science, Landscape Design, Renewable energy and other “Green” Careers?
Explore your love of the outdoors and the natural world as you discover the links between science and agriculture/natural resources, and the importance of ecological stewardship. In this class you will learn about the production of apples, honey, maple syrup, and other locally produced crops. You will discover what makes up a healthy and sustainable forest, from harvesting trees and identifying plants, to maintaining natural habitats for wildlife. The local landscapes around us serve as our lab. As ecological concerns about global warming, food supplies, renewable energy, and overpopulation increase, you, too, can be a part of finding solutions for our future with a career in an agricultural/natural resources based field.
