Are you a “People Person?”

Are you thinking about becoming a teacher, a child-care provider, a counselor, a social worker, probation officer, or someone who works with the disabled or elderly?

Human Services students focus on life-span development and issues. Students will learn professional work habits, as well as interpersonal, helping and communication skills. They will study human development, and health and wellness issues throughout the life cycle, from birth and child development, to aging and the needs of the elderly and disabled.  Students will learn about the many services provided by human services agencies in our area and spend time working with young children in our own River Bend child care center on site, as well as off-site placements such as elementary schools and elder care homes. If you’re looking for a rewarding career where your natural empathy and caring will be appreciated, check out Human Services for a taste of how fulfilling career choices can be!
