Are you going into the tenth grade? Don’t know what your career options are? Had difficulty succeeding in your traditional high school classes? Sometimes just don’t understand the information that is presented to you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then River Bend’s Pre-Technical Exploratory Program may be for you. This program assists students who need extra help preparing for the challenges of technical education. Students have the opportunity to assess their skills, knowledge and interests and get help focusing on a career goal. Students learn basic skills needed to be successful in each program area. They visit each technical program at River Bend for three to four days to get hands-on experience.

A student in the 9th grade who is considering dropping out of school, needs help with reading, writing, and math skills, has trouble succeeding in the regular classroom or has grades that are below “C” in most subjects, should consider enrolling in River Bend’s Pre-Technical Exploratory Program. Students who enroll in this course receive one credit each in English, Life Skills, and Technical Exploration.
