RBCTC Students Continue Working on BES "Bike Barn"
Posted October 29th, 2019
River Bend Career and Technical Center’s Construction Technology and Residential Energy Program’s work on the Bradford Elementary School’s new “Bike Barn” continues. The structure is now up with an almost completed roof attached and is actually being used by BES students. Work now is focused on getting the siding installed, roof finished, and then starting the final touches to complete the project. Instructor Lance Mills is working with Ron Senecal as they measure for the next siding piece. River Bend’s Heavy Equipment Operators and Welding Program is lending a helping hand by installing crushed stone to level the floor area of the barn, here Nick McFarland and Wyatt Hough level a load of stone brought into the shed by Skid-Steer operator Wyatt Basch.
RBCTC Hosts Corporation Dinner, Changes Corp. Name.
Posted October 18th, 2019
We had a very productive night at the Corporation Meeting! River Bend staff and community members voted unanimously to change the name of the corporation to River Bend Scholarship Corporation. Afterwards, corporation and advisory members were treated to a lovely dinner by the Culinary Arts class before adjourning for advisory meetings, where they offered recommendations and advice for the school programs. All in all a fantastic night with wonderful people. Thanks to all the community members for their continued participation in our programs!
